Agency Purpose and Mission
The Volunteer Ministry Center (VMC) is a part of the network of essential services to the homeless and people within our community who are in crisis. Working in cooperation with theKnoxvillereligious community and other caring individuals, businesses and groups, VMC focuses on preventing and ending homelessness.

Our mission is to facilitate permanent supportive housing for those who are homeless and to provide services to prevent homelessness.

United Way of Greater Knoxville - a partner in change, United Way works with a broad range of people and organziations to identify and resolve pressing community issues.

City of Knoxville/Knox County Ten Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness - The East Tennessee Coalition for the Homeless, in conjunction with Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam and Knox County Mayor Mike Ragsdale, identified the need to examine homelessness in the area and to establish a plan to address the needs of the homeless population.
